The available balance at the beginning of the month was $1696.00 on PayPal, income of $2767.00 from membership dues and fall GOF registrations. We are working an odd reporting period because of the amount monies that come in and go out for the fall GOF.

Cash box has not been touched and has a balance of $486.86. Chase checking beginning balance was $10,128.00. The were income additions made up of membership dues, two registration deposits for GOF checks, the transfer of $2,500.00 from PayPal and donations from the City of Mineola for $500.00 and from Sportscar Warehouse to offset the cost of the pizza party of $200.00, income was $6087.00. We paid out normal transactions for Backroads printing and publications, we did have $183.00 for award expenses to Wayne Kube and website administration fees of $828.00 and one GOF refund.

Motion was made to accept the treasure’s report as given, seconded and approved unanimously.

Nick announced due to the current financial situation we do not have any reason to raise dues.

Old Business:

Website: Now has the ability to pay dues. When new members join their date of joining will now be their anniversary date for dues renewal. Online register for the GOF’s is a great new feature. With the information that is submitted online we can send a report to the hosts and they know immediately what information they need to plan for. Plus, Nick got notification from the website of two new members. The issues that need to be worked out are being worked on between Russell, Heather and the website coordinator Lisa Oliver at One Dog Media.

Nick asked if there were any suggestions. There was a request that non-members could be able to view our activities on website. Nick explained that there has been a delay getting that information up as it was being handled by Wild Apricot. That will now be handled by our VP Marilyn Fitch.

Awards: Wayne Kube reviewed the additional costs of maintaining the pewter plates and the switching to the new acrylic awards that will be given out at the banquet. Only 3 awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in all classes as approved by the board.

Tech Sessions: Steve Fitch, one official tech session since last spring GOF, but some unofficial sessions that helped members. Tech session this afternoon at 4:30pm on wheel bearings. Plan is to have at least three sessions in the coming year. Tally Bell brought up that there have been ongoing tech sessions in the parking lot helping members with various mechanical and electrical problems. Friends helping friends! Bill Stewart brought up the Super Natter tech session at Sportscar Warehouse and Byron said we can have another at any time. Nick asked the Tech Team to stand. Always looking for ideas including for the GOF’s, so if you have any ideas anywhere in the state they are willing to help you get started.

Resource List: Bruce reviewed the request for businesses that can help the membership access various services to repair, restore, maintain, service, for parts and to fix our cars. This is to be added to the website like the Tool Pool for all the reference by type of business. Please send your suggestions to my email at the bottom of the flyer I placed on the seat of your cars at the car show. Houston has a pretty good list going, most of us will travel for the right service.

Tool Pool List: Wayne and Ralph are working on a list for use of tools that you may not want to purchase, but are available as loaners. Wayne brought up that a Kingpin reamer is $300.00+ at Moss, but can be loaned from Wayne saving members expensive costs for tools. If you have a special tool, let Wayne know and it will be added to the website list. These tools are loaned through each individual party and not TMGR.

Spring GOF: Hardy’s are moving their commitment to the Fall 2024 GOF. Location to be announced. Nick volunteered to do the Spring GOF along with Wayne, the Fitch’s and the Brown’s. GOF’s are now committed to through Spring 2025 with Russell, Heather and the Langford’s. NAMGBR is having their national meet in Katy, TX next April, so TMGR will be somewhere in the northern part of the state. Right now possibly Corsicana in May.

New Business:

Joe Vine consider that we meet in the fall with Houston MG Club, Alamo MG Club and Capitol City MG Club to coordinate event dates so as not to overlap events for the coming year.

Someone asked where San Antonio has their big events. Usually in Boerne.

Natters: Marilyn requested volunteers for future Natters, we have openings for late October and November. Host just needs to find a restaurant to make sure they have staff to accommodate 20-30 people. Please coordinate with Marilyn so she can post it on the Website and Facebook. An email blast will go out to the membership to RSVP.

There was no other new business.

Nick asked for a motion to adjourn. A motion was made and seconded, and passed unanimously.

Meeting adjourned at 1:24pm
